FAQ

Questions about the clinic

  1. Why can't I find an address to the clinic location?

    • RemediU is a home-based clinic. To ensure the safety of the residents and other clients, the address is not given until you are officially accepted as a client to RemediU.

  2. How accessible is the clinic and are there any other facilities available.

    • The clinic is ground level and should be accessible to most clients. If accessibility is a concern, get in touch with us and let us know your concerns.

    • There is gym side and a treatment side in the clinic, along with a washroom for emergencies. Due to covid related concerns, we ask that you use a washroom prior to arriving at RemediU. However, we understand that sometimes  when you gotta go, you gotta go!

  3. Are any services covered by extended benefits?

    • Only the Registered Massage Therapy sessions are available for coverage and direct billing. Contact your provider to get more information as to how much you are covered.

  4. Which providers is RemediU able to do direct billing?

    • Good news! Through our booking program, JaneApp, there are many options for direct billing. The 2 main ones being Pacific Blue Cross and Telus eClaims. Through Telus, RemediU is able to do direct billing with over 85% of private insurances. To see a list of options, click here.

  5. Do you accept ICBC or Worksafe cases?

    • RemediU is not accepting any ICBC or Worksafe cases at this time.

Questions about the services

  1. Do I need to combine services to be accepted as a RemediU client?

    • Not at all! However, the services were designed with accessibility in mind. This means that personal training is offered at a discounted rate when it is combined with RMT sessions.

  2. What is the RemediU promise and how do the add-ons work?

    • Being active rehab focused, we aim to get you moving - as long as it is not detrimental to your condition. When you book an RMT session, we offer a free additional 15min personal training slot to your appointment where you will focus on training and/or your prescription exercises.

    • Add-ons are available to clients so that they can extend the active rehab portion of their sessions at RemediU by 15, 30, and 45 minutes. Depending on your stages in treatment, this can be very handy as it offers affordable alternatives to signing up for only training.

  3. Are meal plans available when requesting nutrition advice?

    • Due to the complexity and great importance of each individual's nutritional needs, the nutrition services available at RemediU are more geared towards investigating your current dietary intake and modifying eating habits while educating you on what to look for in healthy nutrition. Any client looking for meal plans or more specific nutritional needs are encouraged to speak to their General Practitioner or a Registered Dietician.

Questions about covid-19

  1. Are clients screened for any covid or illness related concerns?

    • All clients will undergo a screening process prior to their appointment. These are questions that you may already be familiar with if you have been in a public setting where covid screening is required.

  2. How safe is the space at RemediU from contact with others?

    • There many advantages to being a small clinic. One is that only a single client is seen in the clinic at a time - thus eliminating crowded spaces and ensuring your safety during COVID-19. While at your appointment, only yourself and Robi will be present so that you don't have to worry about coming into contact with others.

  3. What are the cleaning protocols?

    • Surfaces and clinic space will be disinfected between each appointment and hand sanitizer is provided on arrival.
